Duct offset with vertical justification

Hi,

I am drawing ductwork in Revit and I would like to display offset of bottom elevation duct. The issue is the offset doesn't show the true value of bottom elevation duct.

Example: I draw a duct 300x350 with bottom justification and set the offset = 0.0 mm. BUT when i finished, the value of offset automatically changed to 175 mm. And while t tagged BOD, BOD still was 0 😞

How can I display the true value of offset?

Thank you!

I think you are talking about this justification.

However this justification only deals with how other duct connects to this duct.

The offset is measured to the center of the duct.

The offset in the properties is always shown as to the center of the pipe/duct diameter.

HERE an article on aectechtalk about placement of pipes and the resulting offset etc. This might help you in understanding how Revit works.
