Duct Fitting - Angle Taps.

I am trying to find or create a 45 degree angle tap fitting with no luck. I am talking about a tap coming off the main and running at a 45 degree angle.  Has any one had luck with that?

Thank you,

Kevin

Thank you. I do have that one. I am actually looking for a duct branch coming off the main at a 45 degree angle.  I didn't have any luck at all making one.

Thank you again,

Kevin

It is the default in the "OOTB" template, or you can find it in Imperial Library\Duct\Fittings\Rectangular\Taps.

When I used that fitting, it defaults to 12x12 and can't be changed and it's doesn't connect to anything. Am I doing something wrong?

Don't try to place it "manually".

Start the duct command. Go to type properties. Change the "Tap" to Rectangular Takeoff: Standard. Change the preferred junction type to Tap.

Now draw duct. When you start on another duct and draw off to the side you'll get this fitting.

Jason, I change the Preferred Junction Type to Tap and Junction is now Rectangular Takeoff: Standard. and when I try to draw a 45 off of the duct (same size and rect shape), it will not connect. I wonder if you are still even here, but worth a try.
