Hi,

just experimenting with builders workholes and came across this problem...... when I place the object the wall seems to hide the workhole object.

is there an option for draw order in Revit? pics below

Is it like a shaft cutting the floor or a wall opening?

If shaft then use shaft or vertical opening tool.

If wall opening then add an invisible vertical model line in the family so that the view range cut plane always cut them in the project.

Hello,

You can try to nest a detail item family on it.

correct, it is like a wall opening, although my problem is that as I work primarily with IFC files & I cannot seem to get the opening tool to work like it would a Revit native model.   I believe the family is originally from the NBS website, It does not cut the wall but it does add a 3D hatch and lines in 2D
