Downgrade pipe tag R25 -> R23

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, I do not yet possess sufficient Revit knowledge to modify families and tags myself. This is partly because these have already been loaded into Revit via our sub-app, and many families have been created by our manufacturers/suppliers.

I am currently working on dimensioning sewer systems. Systems that are also sloped. If I want to indicate the diameter and heights for these, I cannot do so with a single tag in R23. In addition to the diameter tag, I also have to add a spot elevation at the point where I placed the dimension. If I move the dimension, I also have to place a new spot elevation because it may deviate from the point where I originally placed it.

Now, a colleague of mine has a tag where the dimension and the spot elevation are combined. If you move this, the spot elevation is also automatically adjusted.

However, this is an R25 family and is therefore not usable in R23. Would someone be willing to tell me how to create this for R23 as well, and/or edit this added tag for me so that it can also be used in R23?

then only way is to recreate, cant downgrade!!

This family is actually pretty good for teaching yourself some of the basics, I would take the time if you have it.

Open up Revit 2023 and 2025 side-by-side, and just look at how the labels and visibility parameters are constructed. There's only 8 labels in the family, and they toggle on/off depending on the type.
