Could anyone please confirm if system calculations within a linked Revit model impacts the performance of the host model? If they do, what are some of the best practices to mitigate any potential performance impacts?

Thanks,

Hi @jmmiller.southlandind

Revit shouldn't be making any calculations in a linked file from the host, so I would not expect there to be any performance issues. Are you running into something specific?

Hello,

I have already had problems with large files, but not with system calculations.

What I recommend is that during modeling, turn calculation off, use (performance option), and turn it on only when necessary.
