Curved lighting family radii limit

Hey yall, I have some surface mounted linear fixtures that I have made families for. The green screenshot is the standard fixture, while the orange is the actual radius I need to match the soffit. Does anyone know why when I make the radius 2' 2" I get this weird jut out? or have some tips on how to alleviate this?

I know I can just make a brand new family with this radius however I am going to have roughly 40 different fixtures with different radii and I am hoping there is something I can do within the generic family that each can be duplicated and radius changed relatively easily.

I would create a family for the curve with parametric radius instance control, so you can change for each instance.
