Hello community,
I tried to create an energy analysis modell out of a linked IFC in Revit. The mode : "rooms" in the settings has to be used for my HVAC application. At first I tried to link a native .rvt-file and it worked perfectly regarding the result of the analytic surfaces at the centerline of the CAD-elements.
For the next step I wanted to try the neutral data exchange using a linked IFC. Creating the energy analysis model causes an unexpected interpretation regarding the gbXML-scheme. Instead of placing analytical surfaces at the centerline of CAD-elements, boundary surfaces have been used. In order to do my calculation in DIN-standart the program needs the analytical surfaces at the centerline of the CAD-elements and not the boundary surfaces at i.e. the inner side of the walls. Also the surfaces only inculude inner or outer walls and not windows, doors etc. Or else outer and inner windows or doors are interpret as walls as well. Are there any opportunities to fix this problem using pluig-ins or other setting? Is this problem occured earlier or am I the first one recognising ? Could there be any problems with my IFC-modell or this this problem standard case?
I hope someone may help me.
Thanks a lot!
