copy system parameter to ducts

I have a system named "(57.3) exhaust air AHU-1" and must not be changed.

It's  only to long for tagging a duct. So i want to reduce it into  "EA-AHU-1"

When I make a new parameter in duct systems  can it only not be tagged at a duct.

Does anybody know  without using Dynamo how to solve this problem.

Regards,

are you using the abbreviation parameter in your duct system?

something i learnt a long time ago is that the only thing you can really apply to a system and then tag is the system abbreviation parameter. shared / project parameters just don't work.

the only other way which is a bit backward is to have a duct type called "(57.3) exhaust air AHU-1" enter anything you want to tag out onto the duct type with shared parameters and go about it that way. i saw a lot of MEP templates set up that way back in the day rather than use systems. i don't at all recommend doing it this way though.
