Copy existing electrical panel between projects (R22)

Can I copy an electrical panel schedule from another project (or full panel with info)? When I right-click in Project Browser, "Copy to clipboard" is grayed out (and is so for all views and sheets). Ctrl+C/V doesn't work either. All options under "Duplicate view" are also gray.

I am doing a project in an existing high rise. The floor has six rather large panels which I created in a previous project in R22 and would like to copy them over rather than re-create with all the existing loads. I am also not able to export to excel (File>Export>Reports>Schedule is grayed out).

Have you tired copying the panels instead of the schedule?

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

What you are trying to do only works with normal category schedules, not panel schedules.

I have copied over the panel, that transferred some of the properties data (mostly header info) but not the loads.

The short answer is No....

As soon as you copy the panel and any "circuited items", the connection is broken and they have to be recircuited. Panel schedules are unique to the panel there made for, so like @ToanDN & @RobDraw have said you cant copy the schedules like you can do a Schedule/Quantities schedule.

You can copy-paste all elements (Lighting Fixtures, Panels... etc) and then circuit them in new file. You can take Panel Schedule Template by "Transfer Project Standards". But as mentioned above by all you cannot copy circuiting directly yet in Revit or by any add-in.

Hello,

Using the System Browser, you can select the panel, connected loads, and electrical circuits and then copy them to another file, but Switch Systems will not be copied.

*Correction*

Copy/monitor does not bring the circuit with it.

Follow the steps @sragan describes above and it should bring the circuits/loads with the elements.

You can also try having both projects open, then copy/paste between them.

I didn't know that was possible, but it does work.

I had to select the panel in the system browser, and then select "Expand All" before selecting all the rows.

Then I selected "Copy to Clipboard".  In the destination file, I selected any random element (to activate the "Paste from Clipboard" command), and then selected "Paste from Clipboard" and bingo.

I cannot get this to work.

I created an arch file with some panels, devices, and circuits.  Created a MEP file, and linked in the arch file.

Then "Copy Monitor" on the Collaborate Tab, Select Link, and picked the linked file.

Then in the toobar that pops up, I selected "Copy" and copied all the panels and devices.   Then I selected each device and picked "Stop Monitoring".

What am I missing?

Hello,

Copy/monitor is only for the objects. Circuits are not copied.

Thanks, but it was Fabitosoto's idea.

I just verified it worked, and added a little more detail.
