Conduit Connected to Equipment on both ends

I was trying to get a conduit connected to a generator at one end, and an ATS at the other end.  Then I was going to use parallel conduits to make 6 conduits between the generator and the ATS.

No matter how I try to connect the conduits, it always winds up as 2 separate runs.  By that, I mean if I try to tab-select the run, I always only get part of the run.   Then I can tab-select the other part of the run, but I can never get it to where I can tab select the entire run.

Is that just the way Revit works?  It won't let you have a single conduit run with equipment connected at both ends?

The problem it causes is that when I try to make parallel conduits, I have to do each half of the run separately, and trying to get them to line up is almost impossible.

Well I just plopped 2 new panels in a new project, and connected them with a conduit that remains intact.

So, it must not be a revit limitation, unless there is just a limit to the number of bends in one run.
