Circuiting in Design Options

I have a lighting circuit under an alternate design option, that I can't connect wires or homeruns to. The lights are already circuited to the panel, which is also under the same alternate design option. I have the correct "alternate design option" active, but I can't place and tag homeruns. Does anyone know what would cause this?

items can not be circuited across options. Are you sure all the items are in the same option?
