Changing elevation of level but associated elements having issues

Hello,

I have a level (Let's call it "Level 1") at an elevation at -10'. I have already drawn in pipes. I want to change the elevation to 0' instead, but I keep getting this error.

I'm not too sure what is happening. I thought that if I have a pipe 5' above the Level 1 (at -5') and if I changed the elevation of the level it would change with it, so Level 1 at -10' with the pipe at -5' would change to Level 1 at 0' with pipe at 5'. Any input would be appreciative.

That is pretty much how it works but it depends on the hosting of some families.

Some families might not move when the level moves and that can cause pipe connections to become invalid e.g. if a pipe below an appliance moves so far that it becomes above the appliance, then Revit will break the branch/elbow connections due to a change in direction.

If you expand the dialogue box it should give you additional information to allow you to identify which families are causing this behaviour.

Do you want to move one level by 10' or change the value of all levels by 10'?

Victaulic tools has a 30 day trial. There is a tool in there called leveler which will associate any selected families to a new level. I use this tool for the same purpose you are trying to do. I get around it by creating a dummy level, assign all content off the level i need to change to the new level. Once i have moved my level, i reassign everything and delete the dummy level.
