Blue Electrical Circuit Path under "Edit Circuit" Missing

Good day all,

For some reason, I am unable to see the Blue Line associated with a Electrical Circuit via "Edit Path" in REVIT 2020. I have completed 3 other projects in REVIT 2020 over the past 12 months where I was able to see/manipulate the Blue Line. Does anyone know what the Model Category and/or Workset and/or Annotation Category is associated with this is? Many thanks in advance.

Hello all,

Wanted to "bump" this post to the top. For my electrical designers/engineers out there, do any of you know?

Thank you,

Andruw

Hello,

Does electrical interface is checked? You can check in the Options menu.

Where is this located in REVIT 2020?

Nevermind, I found the "Options Menu"

However, under "User Interface", the options for "Systems tab: electrical tools" and "Electrical analysis tools" are BOTH checked. What should I check next?

Toan,

That "Blue Line" is exactly what I am getting at - I do not see it in my model for whatever reason for this one project.

I explored this issue with BIM personnel within my company and we were able to determine it is a View Template issue. We could see the Blue Lines in 3D, but not 2D in the Sheet View. We created a Working View from scratch (without any View Templates assigned) and had the same View Range, Phasing and Model Categories and we could see the Blue Line. We are hoping to find the "root cause" sometime soon.

Never mind.  Fixing the view template with a a fresh view is they way to go.

Are you saying that after click Edit Path you still don't see the Blue lines?

Toan,

Yes - when selecting "Edit Circuit" I do not see the Blue Line path.

I figured a new View Template would be the way to go, still curious though what the "root cause" of this issue is.

Can you share the model, or a portion of it, with that view?

Toan,

I won't be able to share the model but I could share screenshots of the View Template if that helps

I have a similar issue with the blue lines in Electrical Circuits. The portion not showing for me is the actual circuit lines as opposed to the circuit path.

Turn on all of your worksets in the troubled view and try again. If it works, one of them is causing the issue.

I have no idea why, but a workset not related to my lighting fixtures was set to "Hide" and when I turn it on the circuit lines showed up again. I must have set something up on the wrong workset somewhere, just haven't found it yet.

UPDATE: I confirm it was the workset which caused bluelines not to show. The workset apparently had no relation to my view that I could find. I created a new workset and moved all previous objects from the problematic one. Blue Lines are back.
