Good morning everyone,
I’m trying to find the best way to set up electrical panels in combination with control/fuse boxes for motors.
Each pair of ventilation motors is connected to one VB01 control box, which contains two MPCBs (Motor Protection Circuit Breakers) for the two motors. From the EP101 panel, I want to connect four of these control boxes to a single circuit, meaning four control boxes for a total of eight motors (4 x 2 = 8 motors). see attachtment as example.
What is the best way to set up the family types for this? In the entire project, I have 20 VB01 control boxes. If I create an Electrical Equipment Panelboard for the VB01 boxes, I would need to assign a custom panel number to each one.
Is there an alternative way to do this correctly? The main goal is to use a panel schedule to easily view the loads on the circuits. However, the motor loads vary, so I want to associate the specific loads with each motor. This way, the system can automatically calculate the total load for the EP101 panel.
I’d love to hear any suggestions or options.
