Applying hatch patterns

I am looking for the best way to apply a hatch to pieces of MEP Fabrication Duct to represent a different material when printing in black and white. I am having difficulty with my filter settings. Unlike duct systems materials I just wanted to use the the patterns option under visibility graphics override filters. If you see the picture below it sort of works when I select the piece but does not show up on prints. I have tried adjusting my sections and the "cut" setting under object styles is grayed out. I think I am missing 1 setting.

In the picture below the red pieces should all have hatches I believe.

Probably it is not best idea, but for your puprose you can use paint function (PT) to change colour of particular duct.

Remember that visibilit graphisc options that you are using are corelated with particular view and you need to set it on a sheet to get result on print.

Paint does not apply to the sides of MEP Fab parts. Only revit duct.

What about this solution: go to Visibility/Graphics -> filters -> create override pattens for duct system. Does it work for MEP Fab?

Yes, In the picture I attached that is how i made the lower half of the ductwork red. However, the hatch as you can see on the selected piece seems to be hidden somehow.
