Adjusting line weights of CAD in linked model

I am working on a BIM360 project in which the backgrounds are a combination of the architect's Revit model and CAD links that they have imported to their model. Is there a way to modify the line weights of the CAD links in the architect's model? I have already tried updating the display settings of the Imported Categories in RVT Links so that all line weights are being overwritten to '1', however the lines are all still printing as halftone thick lines.

The method that you've tried is what i would have suggested.

The halftone might be applied to the link itself rather than to the imported cad drawing.

For each imported cad drawing expand the layer settings and make sure that every layer is overridden

Check what weight is set for lineweight 1 and if you have different settings for different scales then check what they are at the appropriate scale factor.

The issue was that I did not have each layer overwritten individually, just the overall CAD link. I'm wondering why that doesn't apply to all layers, but at least there is a fix.

It gives you the flexibility to turn layers on/off and to have different lineweights, colours, line styles etc per layer.

I agree that you would think that overriding the top level of the link would override all layers in the link but it doesn't and as far as I know never has. It is essentially redundant because even the most basic cad drawing will have at least one layer which you need to override individually anyway.

A Revit mystery..... (unless someone else knows otherwise)
