Views use a rule set to apply calculation rules to rooms.

Where the Rule sets (Left- 3 typicals shown)  from each ROOM(1-below) apply a standard catch-all rule (I.e. WCL) For all room types unless the element in the room or on the other side of a wall triggers the rule. The ROOM AREA calculation line adjusts accordingly.

Where the Hallway(2) Triggers a rule for the Room(1) to push the ROOM AREA LINE to the OF(Outside Face)(3) of the wall. Adjacencies that don't have a rule use the default(4)(WCL) Wall center line, and an Exterior condition (No room on other side)(5) Forces the area line to the AF(ADjacent Finish). Room areas are then tabulated based on the room origin point (X) and the boundaries.
