Visibility graphic issues

Screenshot 1 — I opened the model from Revit Cloud, and the linked model is also linked from Revit Cloud. However, in the working model, some walls from the linked model are visible and some are not visible (they cannot be seen in the hidden elements either).

Screenshot 2 — I copied the model and the linked model to my local disk, opened and linked them to the model. During that time, all walls became visible. I checked the visibility graphic, template, workset settings in both the Revit Cloud model and the local model, and they are the same. However, I am not sure how to change the settings to hide the walls. I have marked a cross in Screenshot 2 on the walls that need to be hidden.

Could you please check and assist me?

This is a common issue when working with cloud-hosted linked models vs local copies, and it usually comes down to one of three things:

1. WORKSET VISIBILITY IN THE LINK

Even though you said the workset settings look the same, cloud-linked models sometimes handle workset loading differently than local links. When you link from Revit Cloud, certain worksets in the linked model may not be fully loaded in your session — even if they appear "open" in the Worksets dialog.

Try this: Go to Visibility/Graphics (VG) > Revit Links tab > select your linked model > click the button to open its settings > go to the Worksets tab. Make sure every workset is set to "By Host View" or explicitly visible. Sometimes cloud links default to a partial workset load state that doesn't match what you see locally.

2. DESIGN OPTIONS IN THE LINKED MODEL

The walls that are disappearing may belong to a Design Option in the architect's model. When you link from the cloud, Revit sometimes defaults to showing the "Main Model" only and excludes secondary design options. When you link locally, it may pick up all options.

Check: VG > Revit Links tab > select the link > Design Options column. Make sure it's set to the correct option set, or try switching between options to see if the missing walls appear.

3. PHASING DIFFERENCES

Look at the Phase and Phase Filter applied to your view (Properties panel > Phasing section). If the architect modeled certain walls in a different phase (e.g., "New Construction" vs "Existing") and your view's phase filter is set to "Show Complete" or "Show New," some walls may be excluded depending on how the phases align between the host and linked model.

Compare the Phase Filter between your cloud-hosted view and your local view — they should match, but the cloud version may have inherited a different default.

QUICK DIAGNOSTIC:
Open both models side by side (cloud version and local version). In the cloud version, select one of the walls that IS visible, then tab-select to get into the linked model instance and check what workset and phase that wall is on. Then try to find one of the missing walls in the local version and check the same properties. The difference will tell you exactly which setting is filtering them out.

If none of the above resolves it, it may be an ACC/cloud sync issue where the linked model version cached in the cloud is out of date. Try unloading and reloading the link in the cloud-hosted model to force a fresh pull.
