Energy Analysis LIcense Error - Network License

Hi, all,

I've seen this error posted and responses relating to a student version, however I have a network license user who is receiving the same error. We have added his user credentials to the subscription center and "activated" the services for him. The user shows (in the Subscription Management) as "Invite Pending", although there is no email to him that allows him to accept said invite. He did receive emails, but they send him to the Getting Started site, which *still* does not activate his service. This is occuring in both 2015 and 2016. Yes, we have perpetual licenses, and yes, they are current. Please advise.

Hi @kmfuhrman,

Sorry to hear about the issue. The status in the account only indicates if that user has logged onto their Autodesk Account. Could you go into the help area of the users program click on 'about' and make sure their Revit has the correct product information? Also can you make sure he is properly logged into the program with the account that has the access?

Yes, we have done both. When I added him to our users, it replaced his first and last name with his email. In other words, his email is smasse@...com. (Name's changed to protect the innocent!) I put in his first and last name, but when it added him to the user list, his first and last name are Smasse Smasse. Why it wouldn't save his first and last name is a mystery as well. He is using the same email address as his login. This is also what is showing in his login to his Autodesk Account. Everything matches as far as the licenses go.

Hi @kmfuhrman

It looks like our Customer Care crew will have to take a closer look at his account and how it was registered.

Could you please create a support case and let us know the number so that we can have it processed with priority?

Thank you and our apologies for the inconvenience.

I have had that happen multiple times.  I am not certain why it happens; once it does happen, the user has to log into to his/her account (creating one if one did not already exist for that email address) and then use the Edit Account link at the upper right.  Selecting the Edit Profile button will allow the user to edit the first and last name values.  I have had a few users do so successfully (their name changed when I go into Autodesk Account to manage my users) and I assume the others did not really care.

That does not solve your Energy Analysis issue, but it looks like that is well in hand.

Thanks for the info, David. It's still an ongoing issue, but Autodesk has been very responsive with their assistance. Smiley Happy
