Wrong volume of a curved beam with rotated cross-section

I have a steel beam resting on the side laid out in an arc. To model it I create a structural framing instance, select an arc segment in a floor plan and set the cross-section rotation to 90 degrees. Upon creating a schedule for this beam I find out that the material volume is zero, for 270 degrees it's 3.44 m3. Correct value is 0.13 m3.
I have created a test file to examine the issue and am posting it here, too. I made 36 copies of the beam and set the cross-section rotation from 0 to 350 degrees in increments of 10. Turns out the volume is correct for exactly 0 and 180, zero inbetween and higher than real between 180 and 350. For reference I did the same with a straight beam, turns out the volume is correct for all examined rotations.
Can anyone explain?
