I am having an issue that geometry is moving it's physical location when I switch work sets. How do I fix this?

Check that you don't have two separate elements on each workset, you may be seeing a move as the two elements may not be in the same location

Hope this helps

Worksets only control visibility they don't control location.  I agree with Laura, it sounds like you have duplicate elements on different worksets.

Okay, can you explain in a bit more detail exactly what you are doing and what you see when you do it?

Okay so you have an element and when you change it's workset it's moving up approximately 8" is that correct?

Can you create a new instance of the element, go to a 3D view where you can see both elements, select them and then change the workset as you have done previously and let me know what happens?

So I created a new instance of the element and when I place it and change the work set it doesn't move but the other elements still move..
I suppose my only option is to replace all elements with new ones and hope for the best

Check you phase settings you may have the two elements on different phases

Another option is to check the ID check if the 'moved' element has the same ID, this will let you know if it is the same element or two elements, I still believe you have two elements.

Did you change anything else such as the true north verse project north.
