That is modeled using a Curtain Wall System; and the Mesh is applied as material to the Curtain Panels

  1. You either create it using a custom pattern applied to surface
  2. and/or from an image assigned to its Rendered Appearance in Material browser

i got it i think, i set up the panel as solid and edit the material from aluminium with cutouts, did i do well?

but i got one problem, i change some of the properties after i duplicated it and when i change the appearance i will change on both material so i can not have a standart aluminium and a custom mesh from aluminium

More or less yes I think you got it...however, I am confused on the last part. I did not understand what you mean!!!

What did you duplicate?
Where are you changing appearance?
Which both material change?

If you clarify a bit or post an image (screenshot) then I can understand what you are seeing on your screen and what you are referring to

so first i click on edit type on that panel..

from Type Properties i go to Material click on more open the material library click on aluminium , right click on aluminium select duplicate.

then i go th appearance and check the cutouts click ok.

when i modify the new material that i made the base material in this case Aluminium take the same parameters as the new one and i dont want that.

  • Before you go further to the Material > Duplicate Panel and call new one "example: Panel with Mesh" or something else to your liking

> from Type Properties i go to Material click on more open the material library click on aluminium , right click on aluminium select duplicate.

  • When you duplicate the material "Aluminum" name the New one "example: Aluminum with Cutouts" (in your image you are still modifying the original material ... hence it will apply to all Aluminum already placed in the project
  • Then make sure to select the duplicate/new material "Aluminum with cutouts" (not the old default one)
  • then go to Appearance tab for the new material not the old

  • Now when you modify appearance it will modify only the appearance for the new asset which is used by the new Material...the original material called Aluminum should remain intact

This mesh is too tight to install on the balcony because it will lose view and tighten ventilation You can refer to the photo here luoi-an-toan-5.jpg
