Window hosted in Wall - seen in one side only

Hello. I have created a model in place volume - type wall. I want to host some windows in that wall but instead of them going from one side to another(I don't want to see those on the opposite side)  I want the window to appear only in one side. Can we achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

Most windows families make use of an 'opening' to create the hole in the wall. This is always going through the whole wall.

You can edit the window family and replace the opening with a void (you can not have both). A void can have a thickness and thus on penetrate a certain amount into the wall.

Other option would be to use multiple walls. When placing the window the opening only cuts the wall it is hosted in.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

The void I am trrying to do doesn't cut the wall in the family where the window is hosted. Does this need a specific one?

Thank you.

The void in your window family needs to cut the host wall in the family in order to cut the wall in project.

I attach a screencast of the void I created and actually doesn´t seem to cut the wall for a reason I still don´t know.

It won't cut the wall automatically. You need to use Cut Geometry.
