window grids not showing up

So I have been at this window for weeks. I need the window grids (grilles) to show up when I look at it in my elevation view. when I go in and edit the window grids they show up in the edit view, so when i load into project they don't show up. I have done the visibility setting making sure that the plan/RCP, front/back and left/right are all checked and the detail levels are check as will and it still doesn't show the grids on the window in any of my elevation view. I also did the visibility/Graphic overrides for Elevation and made sure the windows where not shade out or unchecked but it still doesn't show up.

Can you share the window family?  I meant the actual RFA file, not just the screenshots.

Your muntins are not constrained properly so when the wall thickness changed, they offset from the correct location and are obscured in the elevation view.  Fix that and you will be good to go.

Below is what happened when I change the wall to 1'-0" instead of 9".

Sorry but I don't under stand. The window grills is whats not showing up. I don't think it has to do with the wall. just the windows grills?

Try this file.

When the wall thickness changes, the window plane moves, but the grid plane stays.  So you need to constrain the grid geometry to the window so that they move together.

ok got it thanks i have been trying to fine out what/how to do. thank again

Change the wall thickness in the family to 2' then hide the wall category so it is easier to spot the differences.  Edit the extrusion for each grid and align and lock the sketch line to the window sash plane, both sides.  I demonstrate it below for a few of them.

P/S:

1 - you have two opening cuts, delete one.

2 - It's better use nested family for your grids.  But it should be another topic to cover if you are interested in.
