Why it doesn't let me create my stairs ?

Hello again, 

I'm trying to create stairs using the sketch tool but when I try to validate it doesn't let me create it and says error 1 without specifing what it means. Why it doesn't let me create my stairs and how to fix this please ?

You need to draw the vertical boundary on the left and right.

Hello! I've managed to recreate what your after. You need to pay close attention to which lines are stair boundary line.  Notice the lines on the far left and far right are the green boundary lines not risers. Also the way i have drawn the stair run line will have an effect. Hope this helps!

Actually I've just attached the stair then you can open it up and edit it to see how its been created.

How did you manage to create the risers based of the same point ? When I try to do that it doesn't count them...

What version of Revit are you working in?

I'm using revit 2019, I'm still learning I've started in september.

I've done it in 2019 this time. Notice when i first draw the risers they aren't counted. They aren't added to the until I've drawn the boundary lines.

For some reason it says 3 risers are missing while I count 19...

did it let you complete the sketch this time? If you add the tread number from the annotation tab does it give the correct number of treads?
