Why is my workshare file not saving backups?

I am working in a project and am finding that through synchronization no backups are saving. If I go to the restore backup option, nothing shows in the backup folder automatically generated for such backups. Is there a setting that I do not understand, or is something wrong with my revit install?

When you saved the CENTRAL file did you set your settings of amount of backups? (Can be found under the options butting during SaveAs.)

During restore, did you open/select the right backup folder? Then there should pop up a window with the available backups.

Is your CENTRAL model file based or server based?

(Server based central models have to be restore from normal backups or from local files)

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Hi there

I have the same problem.

When I saved central file I set no of backups to 1.

I tried to restore model from previous day and I can't see any backup files when I go to 'Restore Backup'?

you won't see any files, just select the backup folder and click OK - revit will then prep a list of available backup for you to choose from - I'd set your number of backups to much more than 1 though... maybe 20+?
