Why does some wall types join differently?

Hey!

Why does some wall types join differently?

I mean the situation in illustrated attachment.

It is mysterious to me that some kind of wall types join clean and some do not? It does not matter if the exterior material is the same or not?

Any adjustment with join/unjoin does not help.

The line between walls is often unwanted! And you can not ge rid of it!?

Thanx if you can help me about this issue!

You can use the tool "Edit Wall Joins" (Butt/Miter/Square Off option) to avoid this problem.

Hi!

Wall joins: Butt/Miter does not help. Next/previous neither.

And the option square off is grey = not possible. Why?

Thanx anyway!

It is mysterious? Some wall types join ok, but some do not? It does not matter if the exterior material is same or not?

I even tried to make two wall types: One beginned to build (make the material layers) with wall type that joins ok, one with type that joins with that unwanted line.....

Surprise! Exactly same structure in two walls, and they act differently!? 😮

And the option square off is grey = not possible. Why?

Because this option is not available for walls already joined at 90 degree.

I have attached a jpg for you.

Matti, I have experieced the anamoly from time to time. Fortunately I have been able to "erase" the linework in elevational views by using the Linework tool in the Modify tab. Set the line type to invisible, click on the linework and it goes away. You might have to click several time to get all instances of the line.

Hi!

Tank you very much, Thad A. Broom! 😄

That Linework method helps a lot! Now I can make nice elevation views. (By the way, I before used the region tool and it was quite time wasting job!)

But still there is the 3D view? How can corners to be cleaned there? 3D is nice to examine the building and to show it to customers, also prints from 3D are quite useful.

Is there some kind of logic about the wall types? Some types join differently than others.
