why can'y I change on the window frame color in a standard revit window?

I'm trying to change my muntin/frame colors to black, but it ends up changing the trim color too?

I assume you have a material made that is the color you want? what window family is that? i have a "standard Revit window" loaded in my model and it only has 2 material options.

My guess would be that the muntin, frame and trim are sharing the same (or wrong) material parameter.

Looks like your window is set to exterior frame material.

To make the mutin as different material, you may want to create new parameter.
