Why can not get my roof underlay to show?

I have a roof draw in but I cannot get it to show as an underaly.  Really not sure why...

Turn on the ROOF category.

ahh got it!   although how can I get the ridge to come dashed as well?

Underlay have 50% chance of not working properly. If you want roof outline to show, you have to create two separate view. In this view I turn wall off and only show roof. Set the roof to hidden line with 100% transparency

Next you place the roof outline on top of the Attic plan. Revit will snap the roof outline on top of the attic plan.
