Who created a Shared Parameter

Hello,

Is there a way to detect which user created/added a specific Shared Parameter to the project?

We have a couple of "_Filter Comments 01...02....03...." Shared Parameters that were added to the model file but have no idea on who added them.

It also sounds like something an Add-In would do, but cannot tell which one.

Googled for it and found nothing.

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks

Yikes! Our response to that situation is that editing rights to our Library (including Shared Parameters.txt) are restricted to a select few.....

hi @Sahay_R

Your reply made me realise I did not ask the question properly.

I meant to ask on how to identify who added a Shared Parameter to a project model file? I know how to find which user created a specific element instance in the model but not for non-elements, such is the case for Project Parameters.

Does this way make more sense?

Kind regards,

Joaquim

Hence my response - with or without the rephrasing. To the best of my knowledge, it is not possible to track down who made a particular change in the model file. You will be able to track who was in the model through the server history, but not who is responsible for specific changes to the model or the parameters. That is why there are only a few of us who are authorized to add shared parameters to the project. Fewer surprises!

I don't think this is really possible to do beyond going through journal files of every user who has was working on the model in a specific time period. You could find it in there I am sure, but seems like a lot of work to get the information.
