Where are the Keynotes?

Where are the Keynotes?  I think the the text file has been deleted.  I cannot track it down with a search.  But the information is still in the model.  We need to edit the information but now we cannot find the file.  Is there a way to make the text file from Revit; Then edit it from there?

Thanks

It seems you have a custom keynote file.

The keynote files can be found in

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2016\Libraries\UK

You have to modify above folder little bit if you have a different revit version an di you have differetn library installed.

Above example is for Revit 2016 with a UK library.

I do not think it is possible to extract the keynote file from your project.

When keynoting revit pulls data from mentioned text file to the different parameter fields in the project. So not the whole text file is loaded into your project

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Is that accurate?

We've lost track of a Keynote.txt file. It was hosted on someones local C drive at one point and now the link to the file has been lost.

Can keynotes that have already been placed in Model be exported to a .txt file?

It's kind of a pain, but this is the only solution I'm aware of:

Create a Keynote Legend view and configure.

From that view, 'R' -> Export -> Reports -> Schedule.

You'll have to re-format the text file to match what's required for the keynote file format, but the text values should be there.

Cheers,

Rich
