When I try to drag line end of a spline it resizes it instead of moves the end point

I have an issue that is driving me crazy. I am just trying to drag the end point of a spline, but instead of this happening, it just resizes or rescales the entire spline (makes it bigger or smaller). I was trying to post a pic of this issue but i would need too take a video of it to show what its doing.
Any troubleshooting advice greatly appreciated !

Are we talking a Form? Lock Profile.

...oh! I get it. Use TAB Select to select the correct point. There's two at the end.
