When I select an object, it turns blue. That's really silly. When I select an object, I surely want to observe it. How can I observe it when it's turned blue like this?

As shown in the picture, I want to adjust the UV of the texture. When I select the fill pattern and am about to adjust the position of the UV, I can no longer preview the texture. Incidentally, the function of adjusting the UV really needs to be updated. Also, the texture color adjustment system is really not user-friendly. Why do I have to use the method of dyeing when I want to change the color of the texture? And I really don't quite understand how to change a colored texture into a black-and-white one in Revit, or directly change it to any color I want.

You do not need to select the element to modify the pattern or texture. Simply

  • Go to Manage tab >> Settings >> Material
  • Modify the material graphics or asset in the material browser
  • observe it as it changes in the model on the component where that material is assigned

No components turning blue on selection 🙂

The color that is applied when an element is selected can be changed, I use Red and leave pre-selection highlighting blue (File > Options > Colors). If a selected element does not change its appearance in some way how can we tell when something is selected and isn't?

You can change the selection color to anything you want but it will still get highlighted.

I'm not trying to step on toes but I did make the suggestion at the same time, so here it is.

By contrast, I think the highlighting methods of these software are more advisable.

Try posting it in the Ideas forum.

It may be a good option: the option to highlight only the silhouette, all edges, or the entire object
