When exporting an 3D axonometric view; some furniture show under lines that wherent visible on the Revit 3D model.

Hi, I'm doing some tests for exporting 3D axonometries from an Revit project, but when I have the 2D cad, some lines that are hidden; due perspective and placement of the furniture; are overlapping and visible on the end product; check the images in order, first of Revit, second, on Autocad; a lot of the furniture comes from bimobject and similar.

Is there a config I'm skipping for visualization that could help make the 2D cad more similar to the Revit perspective?

Or, is there a material config or in the family from each furniture family that I should change to prevent this?

Any chance the chairs are built with DWG imports?

Place the 3d view on a sheet and export the sheet.

Can you upload the sample and see if we analysis what is going on?

Can't say for sure, a lot of the furniture come's from bimobject, so, I get that there could be some stuff to check element by element.

Sure! Here's a sample of the file; the original is too heavy for me to share it in here; but in here are some of the furniture that give me problems.

Did you see the reply from @ToanDN - are you exporting the 3D view from a sheet, 3d view on a sheet, xport the sheet?

Yes, those lines appear with the export made from an sheet.

Are there anything wrong with the attached export drawing?

Oh! No! It is much cleaner with lines that shouldn't appear due the angle, Its basically what I'm looking for.

I am not seeing any issue exporting. I assume it could be the BIMobject content mixture of import CAD, exploded import solid and Revit native geometry that cause weird behavior. As well the bigger the project, the more you will see these abnormally. How to fix this? This isn't a quick fix. However I would recommend recreating those content using Revit native geometry.

I created a random camera view and exported it to DWG and there were a few lines that were not cleaned up well but otherwise...seemed okay.

I'm skipping something on the configuration or the graphics config? Just to apply it to the larger file of the project.
Message 14 of 16

I see, thanks! I will consider it for this and future similar projects.
Message 15 of 16

Thanks! It will be useful for an alternative on smaller projects.

Not sure.  I exported using Revit 2024.1 using default export settings.
