When exporting a family to DWG or DXF there is an option to make a solid or polymesh. Is there some way to changing a setting that will default to solid instead of polymesh?
If this were AutoCAD, I would just change a system variable and never worry about it again. With Revit, I have to navigate to the sub-basement of option levels in order to change one radio button with every export.

Hello @lynx20, welcome to the Autodesk forum and thank you for the question!
I understand you want to set Revit to default to exporting to DWG with ACIS Solids instead of Polymesh.
In the Modify DWG/DXF Export Setup dialog, you can create your own custom Export Setup (Help topic with video: Customize DWG Export Setups). If you set the Solids option to ACIS Solid in your custom Export Setup, then selecting your Export Setup in the first DWG Export dialog will give you the ACIS Solid export option (instead of changing each time).
Note: The Export Setup is a project/family level setting. In order to transfer between families or projects, use the Transfer Project Standards command.
Thank you. That explained the process. Give me the good-ol-days when we could write programs remembering KISS [not the band] and wouldn't need a video to change a simple parameter.
