No,

Actually didnt get there yet, mate. Would you say that this Revit render is as good as the top render softares? (Vray, Lumion3D, etc)

Vray is by far better than the Revit renderer. If you already know vray, I can pretty much guarantee you will NOT like the Revit rendering capabilities. Another way you can render your Revit models is to use 3DS MAX Mental Ray...

Close to it, at least.  The big benefit with in-program rendering is no translations/exports/etc. needed, nor are there tons of obscure settings that mean little to a designer.

Correction, VRAY does support Revit. It is only very recent and is currently in beta.

So far the testing I have done is positive. There are obviously things that need to be addressed, but it shouldn't be far away.

In the meantime, if that doesn't satisfy you, then yes, best method we currently use is export for 3Ds Max rendering.

Good to know man. Good to know.

But, woud you say that VRay is actually the best render software for revit? (Are you familiar with the others? MentalRay, Lumion3D, etc)

The best rendering software for Revit currently is 3DS MAX (Mental Ray). Although, vray is in beta stages, it's still not supported yet. <-- Hopefully it will soon! 🙂

As far as I have seen & based on the comments of the Vis guy next to me, 3Ds Max with VRAY.

However, recently I have heard quite a bit of talk about maxwell render and Enscape. I will make clear though, I have no experience with them. Perhaps those who have can compare and make comment?

Lots of options!
