I'm cleaning up some of our Tags, and I notices a "Callout Tag" parameter in our Elevation Views. What's the use of that?

Our elevations tags are a simple arrow pointing toward the elevation and a detail/sheet.

You mean a parameter in the properties of elevation views? If so, tt could be introduced for filtering purposes.

In the "type Properties" of my Elevation Tags, there's a "callout Tag" parameter - in the Graphics category.Annotation 2019-02-18 123033.jpg

Okay so I misunderstood.  That Callout Tag is the definition for the Callout view type, including Callout head and Corner radius.  Callout head can be select from a Callout head family type loaded in your project, Corner radius can be typed in directly.  This is so you can have different Callout view types for different purposes, for instance: Plan callout versus Detail callout.

Right, I understand WHAT a Callout Tag is, but why is it in the Elevation View properties?

Because you can create an elevation view by draw a call-out on another elevation view.
