Ok. What is more important QUANTITY or QUALITY ?

Is it better to have a great amount of posts in the forum or a high percentage ratio?

I ‘ve been looking into these post and there are so many people writing so dumb posts only to get more rankings, but they are almost to nothing - zero not contributing to the posts.

They have lots and lots of posts but their ratio % is incredible low.

so what is more important QUANTITY or QUALITY ?

Irrelevant.  If they're following in the spirit and letter of the posting rules, then whether you consider them "junk" posts or not shouldn't matter - just ignore the ones you don't consider relevant and move on.

I notice this is your very first post. And basically, it's veiled condemnation of our community. Heck of a way to make a first impression.

Just saying...

1. One high quality reply provides one solution to one question. Twenty mediocre quality replies can provide five five solutions to twenty questions.

2. Also, define high quality and low quality because not everyone's perception is the same. Some examples are okay too.

3. Whether you are a new member or an existing member with a duped account , post your non-technical complaints on the Community Feedback forum.

4. 1, 2, 3, 4 are not in any particular order.

What "ratio" are you going by?  Total posts vs solutions?  Realize that it doesn't take account for questions asked...as well as when right answers are given, but it is not marked as a solution by the poster...or the poster marks their own comment as the right answer.

I don't think rankings are based much on post count anyway except for the first few ranks which is just participation.  It is the contributions...ideas, solutions, articles, screencasts, etc.  There are some here that have a very high rank because they publish a lot of articles but I have never see them on the forums.

Well, I'll be;  you're absolutely right, @ToanDN! I just found out who it is.  You'll never guess who.

whats more important is the " Actual Solution " for the " Original Poster "

and anyone else who is posting their thoughts are irrelevant unless its contributing

to the solution....but for a genuine solver, they have to go through each and every post

to eliminate repeating the same solution...

Many people just post something to get subscribed so they stay updated with that particular

post..

there is a way just to " Subscribe " " or unsubscribe " as well, without adding unnecessary posts..

what MAY new comers undermine probably is , when multiple people write their thoughts or process

it HELPS to find the ACTUAL Solution much quicker cause of " PROCESS OF ELIMINATION"

in simple terms, reducing one parameter while solving a problem, reduces a large number of permutation...

heres a graphics to explain, how many permutation and you can calculate the TIME get saved in the process....

Factorial PermuationsFactorial Permuations

feel free to ask any further questions...

Cheers !

May I submit that your post is exactly what you are criticizing other people about?

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
