Walls Placement Defaulting To Wrong Level

Every time I am drawing a wall in this revit file, the properties are defaulting it to the wrong level. So for example, I am on my Ground Floor, but the walls keep defaulting to base constraint being on the First Floor.

After this happened I checked the work planes for each level and for some reason they were all set to the floor level directly above. I changed them to the correct work plane levels, but the properties bar is still defaulting to the wrong level when i go to draw a wall.

Why would all my work planes have been screwed up? This is the first time it's happened......

I will attach the file.

I hope I am making sense!

Your Level Names are not the same as your Floor Plans so calling out what appears to be different information

Double Click the Level for 02 First Floor Plan

It opens 01 Ground floor Plan

Hi Jay, thanks for the response!

Ok, I'll have a look again. My teacher and I were trying to play around and get it to work last night, by renaming etc and it wouldn't work! 😞

I was silly and pressed "do not ask me again" about renaming corresponding levels, so I turned it off. I did some research and found i could change the revit.ini file to go back to the default.....so i'll see if that's fixed today.

I have made a real mess of this project...

I'll get back to you if i still can't make it work!

I ended up deleting all my levels and made new ones. Everything is named the same and associated with the right floor plans thankfully. Not even sure how it all happened!? Thanks again 🙂
