Walls not showing up in site plan

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I have looked at everything I know of, phase, V/G, view range. It is as if he generic model pergola above the walls (columns) are hiding the columns, but it should not - I have the cut plane set at 5', well below the pergola above. Thank you in advance for the help.

Here is a link to the model:

Here's a handy checklist to reference in cases like this:

Thank you @barthbradley , however I have already looked through that list. Actually I have this list and have added 3 or 4 more lines of things to check. Item 3 applies, except I have my cut plane below the offending soffit.

For some reason the generic model of the soffit above is hiding my columns, even though the soffit is above my cut plane, see my new second image below. Issue persists. I may be adding a new line item to my list of 37 things to check.

Generic models above cut plane still show on plan view.

Post the file.

I'll bet you $1 that it is on the 33 list. 😉

Thank you @ToanDN . I guess this explains the issue and I'll add it to my list, which is now 38 items to check.

But this seems unintentional and a bug in this case. I want to see the walls. For now I'll use 2d overhead lines to represent the soffit above. Hope Revit fixes this soon.

Yes, it was #3, like I said. Now it is also newly added #38 on my list - generic models misbehaving.

Yes, I just found it myself.  Your Plan Region was set to high. Lowered it to 6' and VOILA! Columns appeared!

That's not how I read it.  That's not what the OP said either.

Sorry but I don't think it is a bug. Being able to show windows, casework, and generic models above cut plane is by design and practical. If you don't want the element above cut plane to show then use a different category, it is that simple.

I don't know what you are referencing and I don't know why you say that the OP wants to see the soffit - yet you provided an accepted solution that actually hides the element in the View.  Changing the Category to Roof hides the element in the View because the Roof Category is not checked.
