I have seen this before and there are a couple of workarounds there but just to make sure we are not overlooking some obvious Revit traits.

Are they placed with "Disallow Joins"...select the wall and click the T sign to re-allow Join

Are you using Unlocked Layers with Base extension?.... On the Ribbon

  1. go to Modify >> Geometry >> Wall Joins
  2. Then hover over the Corner >>> click to select >> Change to Mitter

Or Alternatively:

  • Disable Join on one wall only
  • Stretch wall to allow Geometry to Join following Layer function

NOTE: If you disable Join on both walls >>> You will need to manually invoke Join Geometry tool

Hey Thanks for the Reply

They are not placed with "Disallow Joins"

yeah i have the brick and cavity unlocked while the stud is locked. so it works with out slab drop down.

(have tried only brick unlocked but has the same issue)

Yeah i know i can update every join manually. but i shouldnt really need to do this.

In my original post i had a linked issue report from Revit 2016 with this issue.

So i assume its just a bug and i will need to do this workaround until its fixed. Hopefully dont need to wait another 7 years.
