Try the Extend command.

Good luck on getting the Fire Marshal to approve that detail.

Funny. But neither make any sense. This makes sense.

Thanks Sahay !

But, the extend command doesn't remove the portion of horizontal gypsum board at the intersection.

Thank you ToanDN !

But, I have to update in many places in the Revit model (to match with the detail). So, splitting the wall will not be a good idea.

I have tried the join geometry, but it is extending only the stud line, not the gypsum boards. The join geometry works likes this only in Revit ?

I am making an As-built Revit model of a project by coordinating with the RFI's. So, I hope the detail has already been approved by the fire marshal !

Thank you barthbradley !

The join geometry is not extending the gypsum board finishes. Is there a way to extend that to match exactly like the detail ?

Sure. Change the function of the GWB Wall Layers to Structural and move them to Core. Then Join.  Voila!

...I'm just curious why you are joining the metal studs to GWB (a Finish Material per your current definition).  Seems odd to me.

Here is the file without splitting the exterior wall.  Edit both wall types and see the layers functions.  I also change the material so that the gyp boards don't join.
