Walls by face - Create layer to linked wall

Hello, I'm currently working on this project where I have a model from the existing building and I would like to place an extra layer to some walls (like those in red). Do you have some advise on how to do it? It would be perfect to create something like the "wall by face", but this is not a mass so it is not possible.

I have already try to copy all the walls and add an extra layer to the families inside my project, but this is not appropriated. First because I will be duplicating information and second because the process of coping and paste those walls is not perfect and sometimes it wrecks the geometry.

Export it to a SAT or 3d DWG, link it in an in place mass and place walls by face.

Why don't you copy the Link's Walls to your Project (via  Copy/Monitor on the Collaborate tab ) and change the Wall Type to add the Layer you want?

As I said before, it does not convert the geometry right, openings for exemple. You can check the image below.

Looks like a good solution. It isn't the most quick, but does the job.

What result do you get if you TAB-Select the Link Wall and Clipboard Copy/Paste Aligned to Same Place?

It is better, but not perfect. The import cad as a mass is a better solution.
