Dear all Hi,

When mass face is selected for 'Storefront' wall, it gives error message. 

" Wall type "Storefront" is incompatible with picked face. Only basic wall types are accepted." 

Why is it so ?

And how 'Storefront' can be created by face ?

Screen shot of error message and rvt file is attached for better understanding.

The message is pretty self-explanatory? 'Storefront' is Curtain Wall and you can only use Basic Walls.

You have to use a Curtain System and apply it to the mass:

There is one more issue related to it. When i pick the same surface for 'roof by face' ,  It does not select the surface. Though it selected the main surface and created main roof (green color). Both surfaces are part of the same massing and created by the one method. 

What could be the reason ?

Not all surfaces can be picked to create a roof by face.  You can try wall by face when roof by face failed.
