Hello,

I am a new REVIT user, with experience in ACA and I thought the working process it will be somehow similar. But I found out that is different in many ways.

So I have 2 questions, hoping that someone can answer:

1. How can I modify the profile for a wall in plan, and have al the layers of the wall to follow the modifier. I managed to find a workaround with no finish and only 1 finish layer,  but for more layers I cannot get a good result (see Revit.jpg attached). Also, how can I make a niche / recess in the wall also with all layers to follow the contour. Can I modify the profile of one of the finishing layer like in the ACA.jpg attached? In ACA is very simple to do all these modifications and I think that it must be also simple in REVIT but I cannot figure it out.

2. The second question is: How can I make visible (with hidden line) the elements that are above the cut plane, but in the same Level plan?

Thank you.

In short, these modifications are not as easy in Revit. They can only really be edited in elevation, not in plan. That sort of custom layer will have to be built as separate walls. The Exterior Layer may be best done with a Model-in Place component categorized as a "Wall"
