Wall Component Sweeps

I have added a wall sweep profile as a "sweep" as part of a wall component using a profile, basically a rectangular shape for floor base.  In looking at VG's for walls, I don't see a subcategory for said sweep.  In floor plan view I don't want to see them, however in elevation views I do.  I have looked at "Detail Level" and switched to each to see if they wouldn't show, not the case.  What other options are there to control visibility of the sweep that was created as part of the wall component if any?

You can create parts, exclude the component sweep parts, and set the view to show parts.

If it's the wall sweep you want to show/hide, you can add a subcategory to the wall category in Object Style under the Manage tab.

You can then assign the sweep to that subcategory in the type properties.

You can then use the visibility/graphic override window to show/hide that sweep in any view without affecting other sweeps or walls.

You've lost me, @Lachlan-JWP .  The OP is referring to wall sweeps that are integrated into the Wall Type Assembly.

Whoops, I was assuming it was a manually placed wall sweep. @kim.candelario disregard my previous post. It doesn't apply to sweep created as part of the wall assembly.

I'm sorry, I feel that that jus adds another level of complexity to the issue, in my mind there should be 2 subcategories for Modify Vertical Structure - Sweeps and Reveals as part of the Wall Component (not just the Cornice Sweep subcategory).  Your suggestion of creating parts in my mind is not a good solution.  This suggests that all walls that have a sweep created as part of the Modify Vertical Structure should then be created as parts, not so easy when you may have view templates you are dealing with and switching the Parts Visibility within the Graphics portion of the properties in addition to having to adjust the wall component itself.  In my 20+ years of experience doing BIM, not all users pay attention to settings within the properties, just sayin.  In my mind - unacceptable solution (just my opinion), sorry!

You can post the request here:

Meanwhile, good luck finding another one while waiting for the idea to be materialized.
