...Paint Tool
...or, change Material of Column
...or, Join Geometry might work, depending on the type of column.
...however, it looks like you want to cover the column with the same finish material as the wall. Create a new wall type with just the finish material and place it in front of the column --- or build the finish layer/materials directly into the column family.
I went for column with walls from 2 directions. The material problem is solved. But do I still have a complete column? because I have warning message to unjoin elements
Join Geometry to Embed one into the other. Both walls, right?
Yes it is. I'm checking with you the result I get it to know if I did it right or wrong. Beside, sometimes there are many ways to do the same think, so I'm trying to be sure that I understand well and nothing more.
Hi
What I'm thinking about is the quantity and detail.
I tried a different way. I drew a masonry wall and additional one from outside represent the plaster and stone cladding similar to what happens in real world. The problem it get is the doors and windows are able to do openings in one wall only.
In a conclusion we need one way of these
Many thanks
Hi
Sorry, I din't understand. Which walls we are talking about. The regular way or the other way I tried? My way is to create 2 walls side by side. In both ways I didn't understand how to do it
Many thanks

- The join tool combine the walls but it cuts the column, which means the quantity of concrete and column
Switch Join Order so that Columns cut the Walls. This will change quantities of materials appropriately.
...Also, let me restate a suggestion I made earlier, and that is to create a NEW Basic Wall Type that only contains only the Finish Materials of the Walls. You can then place this Finish Materials Wall Type in front of the Columns. All the Finish Wall Layers will join together seamlessly.
Hi
window is able to cut 2 joined walls side by side. This way works with me

Hi
I didn't know before about this option. I will expand my knowledge about it. It seems logic. Joining 2 walls side by side suggested by ToanDN works also.
I'm satisfied for these 2 solution
