Wall and column issue

I have some issue on wall and column.

the wall is trimmed whenever I aligned the edge of the wall to the column.

and the column is changing the hatch similar with wall.

I have attached the screenshot which supposed to be the result on the right image.

If you want to model like shown on the picture to the right, use structural columns instead of architectural. Another option is to select wall ends , right click and "disallow join".

Hello,

You are using the Architetural Column. In this case, the column Always get the wall material and hatch, even if you select another material in column configuration.

I suggest you change the Architetural Column for Structural Column, in this case the elements don't do the automatic join and don't mix the materials.

Pick your column  > edit family > in the properties > untick join geometry > save as to another filename or save as same name > load into your project > and change the old column with revised one. Thanks

Hi guys, thanks for all your reply.

Unjoin geometry and disallow join works well.

Now I can sleep.
