Dear All,
I'm getting that famous "None of the created elements are visible in Floor Plan: ..... View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings, as well as any Plan Regions and their settings." message during tagging the revision cloud.
In orer to eliminate that if I go to View Visibility/graphics button I see that everything under it model, annotations etcc categories is disabled, I can see that revision cloud checkbox is marked but revision cloud tag is not marked, how am I supposed to change it, so that it will place the tag on revision clouds.

To resolve for grayed out visibility graphic;
Go to the properties box > Identity data > view template: NONE, Title on sheet : <empty>
Wild idea- if a view template disable V/G under 'Graphics', why not just grey it out at the Properties panel?? Why do users come back year after year after year with the same questions?? What kind of company runs this way? Especially when the fee is THOUSANDS of dollars per user per year.
Some additional information for those encountering this behavior in the future.
If you are looking to make a temporary change to the view (that doesn’t need to be saved/retained), you can use the Temporary View Properties command (from the View Control Bar).

Here's another wild idea. How about people ask questions about why something works the way it does before flying off the handle?
The reason it is not greyed out is because the view template does not have to control everything and when it doesn't those items can be accessed from V/G overrides button.

Because people being people, they make the same mistakes as those before them. I've supported tons of people and I get the same questions again and again. It's called human nature.

The problem isn't the company. They can't be in the trenches holding hands with every newbie who hasn't gotten proper training.
Thanks a lot, you have solved my problem that was going to drive me crazy!!!
Everyone knows Revit isn't perfect, but boy do I get a kick out of people who come in here and think other programs are better... There is a reason its the industry norm y'all. Does Autodesk take that for granted? Probably. Do some programs have individual features that work better than Revit? Yes. Is Revit still better than those other programs overall? Definitely.
I have the same parameter settings but the visibility menu is still greyed out in 3D. In my fourth day of trial, I didn't expect to experience such elementary user interface problems.
There is definitely a learning curve for Revit. Don't expect to be able to just jump in and be productive without any training or learning. There are a number of resources for learning the basics.
