hi, i have some viewport types that are used in my revit template, but there is one that i havent used and it came into my template file by mistake, someone copied something....

anyways, i have not used this type for any views and yet it doesnt appear in the purge window. i used dynamo to delete it, but it deletes some drafting views, the funny part is that those drafting views are using another type, any idea whats going on? thanks

The default Viewport1 type cannot be purged even if it was renamed to
something else.

Maybe somebody renamed "Viewport1" as "Section 1".

someone imported drafting views from another file which had this viewport in it, without removing it and purging the file.

the funny part is that i dont even have any views on the sheet with this viewport, and when i delete it with dynamo, it deletes some views.

i removed all the views from the sheets, but they still get deleted when i run dynamo.

so i just deleted all those views, and the viewport and reimporting them properly this time.

sometimes even revit gets tired of its users....

solution is to rename the default viewport in those drafting files to one of the type in the main file and then import the drafting view.

thanks everyone.
